Strange Mushrooms in Beenleigh

I found these really strange-looking Mushrooms growing around Ormeau. So I took a few photos to show you all. A popular internet search engine that rhymes with frugal tells me it is a Clathrus crispus commonly known as the Latticed Stinkhorn. As the saying goes “If it looks like it’s from outer space it’s a Mushroom”

Enjoy

Thanks for that! I was looking for it’s name. It grows in Morayfield too, but I’ve only seen it once so far. I think there were two fruits. It looks quite prolific in Morayfield.
